Save girl child, avoid child labour, educate children, avoid discrimination among children, stop sexual and physical abuse on children, avoid child marriage, etc were the meaningful expressions drawn out when the platform was given for children, adults and artists.
The event got a kick start on 15th Nov as Dr. B Jayashree inaugurated the event by drawing a picture of different moods of Humans. Ms. Ruth Leano, Head Unicef Office for Karnataka, AP and Telangana, Dr. Padmini, Trustee CRT, Mr. Prosun Sen, Communication Specialist, Unicef, Mr. Vasudeva Sharma, Executive Director, CRT, Mr. Roshan, Director Artville, volunteers, participants, children and parents took part in the inauguration held at Metro Rangoli, Bangalore.
Despite of 25 years of implementing the rights for Children, most of us are still ignorant about the the rights that are best suited for providing a better childhood and a bright future for every Child. Understan
ding this reality, we at KCRO (CRT) with the support from Unicef and Artville opened a forum called Art for Child Rights- a live painting event pertaining to Child Rights. Keeping this forum as a means we campaigned in colleges, public places, schools, universities, malls to draw attention and persuaded people to take part in the event as the art has no boundaries. Through this we intended to publicise more about UNCRC to general public as well as to Children.
Live Painting event went on for two days grabbing more number of professional artists, amateurs and Children. The event was held on 15 and 16th November 2014 at Metro Rangoli, M G Road, Bangalore.The paintings were exhibited for about 2 days for public viewing.
